A Bug’s World Sensory-Friendly Morning

July 5 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am
A family with a young child walks toward a massive, realistic sculpture of a wasp in an outdoor park setting. The oversized insect towers above them, with detailed wings and yellow-and-black coloring, creating a dramatic sense of scale. Trees, a fence, and landscaped greenery surround the scene.

Please note, this event is run by Rogers Williams Park Zoo not CPNRI.

Join us from 8:00 – 9:00 am on Sunday, April 26 and Sunday, July 5 for special sensory-friendly mornings an hour before the bug’s trail opens to the public: designed for those with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences and their families. The Zoo will open to the rest of the public at 9 AM; it’s recommended to get there between 8-8:30 to have time to fully enjoy the experience.

This immersive exhibit featuring more than 60 larger-than-life bugs, brings the busy world of backyard insects to life while showing how these tiny creatures play a big role in our environment and how we can help protect them. Music and bug noises will be turned off for this sensory-friendly experience.

Tickets are $7 and more information is here.
