Director Weldon willshare information on Real Jobs RI, target populations and their commitmentto both strengthening RI’s workforce and increasing incomes for working RhodeIslanders. From focusing on training individuals as PCA’s, varied industries throughProject SEARCH, and Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship, the panel willdiscuss the components of their programs. This is a unique opportunity forworkforce development personnel as well as ID/DD agencies to hear aboutcross-walking core missions to achieve fuller employment, ideas for recruitmentand hiring, and how creative braided funding initiatives can foster economicdevelopment across sectors as diverse as small business development, hospitalityand entertainment, and human services.
