On Tuesday afternoon, 300+ Rhode Islanders rallied to protect pivotal services.
The event came at a critical moment. With uncertainty at the federal level, and mounting pressure on state systems, the stakes couldn’t be higher. That’s why this community showed up.

A sea of people in blue gathered outside the Smith Street entrance. Before going inside to speak with lawmakers, a powerful speaking lineup including CPNRI Policy Coordinator Grace Duffy brought the crowd to life.
“Imagine a Rhode Island where every person—regardless of ability and stage of life—knows they belong. Where they never have to wonder if there will be a seat in the classroom that fits their needs. Where they don’t have to prove their worth to be included in the game, the lesson, the workplace or the dream,” said Grace Duffy, CPNRI Policy Coordinator. “That future isn’t some distant dream. It isn’t science fiction. It’s not even “ten years from now. It’s something we can begin building today.”
This wasn’t just one of the largest advocacy days in recent CPNRI memory—it was one of the most significant the State House has seen in years.
Spread the news on Facebook so even more people know how pivotal these services are.
This is what advocacy can do. Let’s keep showing up, speaking up, and pushing forward—together. 💙💚
