Ikea is offering a new line of accessible products designed for people with disabilities.
The BÄSINGEN collection includes shower chairs, step stools and other bathroom essentials that combine practicality with sleek, modern design.
The collection aims to support those with mobility challenges, making daily routines like showering safer and more comfortable.

“The starting point for BÄSINGEN was a clear need for specific product functions,” says Wâtte Zijlstra, a product design developer at Ikea. “Then, we widened our scope through design to ensure the products created support for anyone in their daily life.”
Each item is built with safety and comfort in mind. The shower chair has non-slip feet and drainage holes, while the step stools feature sturdy, non-slip surfaces and side rails for added support.
The BÄSINGEN collection is available in stores and online, with prices ranging from $11.99 to $38.99.
These products combine function with style, making it easier for anyone to enhance their home without compromising on design.
Ikea’s BÄSINGEN line represents an important step in creating more accessible living spaces by major retailers.
