JCPenny debuts wheelchair accessible fashion line

JCPenney just launched their adaptive apparel collection for women who use wheelchairs.

The collection was created in collaboration with Jamey Perry, a paraplegic TV writer and athlete.

It includes 18 stylish pieces designed with unique features such as strategically placed zippers, optimized pocket positioning and extended back rises for comfort while seated.

Jamey Perry shares, “Creating this line has been a dream come true. Women like me want to look great and feel great while having clothes that fit our lives.”

The collection, priced between $44 and $99, is available online in sizes XS-XXL. It is available for purchase now here.

JCPenney’s support extends beyond fashion with a $10,000 donation to Perry’s wheelchair basketball team.

Chris Phillips, Senior Vice President at JCPenney, emphasizes the brand’s commitment to inclusivity: “We are proud to continue growing our adaptive apparel and making fashion truly accessible.”

This collection showcased at New York Fashion Week’s ‘Runway of Dreams’ show.
