Rhode Island State House lit up green for Developmental Disability Awareness Month

If you are near the State House this week you may notice its green glow. This special lighting is honoring Developmental Disability Awareness Month.

Developmental disabilities impact thousands of Rhode Islanders every day. March is a time for us to recognize developmental disability history, realize the progress that has been made and be motivated by what the future could look like.

It also serves as a pivotal reminder that disability voices should be involved in every legislative decision. You can see CPNRI’s latest legislative priorities here.

See the State House lit up green at sunset from March 18-24, except for March 20.

Thank you to The John E. Fogarty Foundation who puts this lighting on every year.
