Samsung Focusing on Accessibility in 2026

Samsung is starting 2026 by focusing on everyday accessibility.

Samsung announced that employees are now taking part in a barrier-free mapping project where they go into local communities and document ramps, elevators and other accessibility features.

The goal is to make it easier for wheelchair users, older adults and families with strollers to get around. Volunteers say they hope it makes outings, like going out to eat, less stressful and more available for families.

Inside the company, Samsung is working on disability awareness in a human way.

More than 8,600 employees have attended concerts, theater shows and other cultural events featuring artists with disabilities.

Samsung also operates Stellar Forest, a workplace for people with developmental disabilities. It now employs 420 workers in baking and packing jobs.

The company is looking ahead to AI too, encouraging teams to design technology that is inclusive from the start.

Accessibility should be built into products, workplaces and everyday life. Samsung is taking steps to make that a reality.
