Every September, we pause to honor the incredible people at the heart of this community: Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). These are the dedicated people who show up—day after day, shift after shift—with compassion, creativity and a commitment to helping people with disabilities live full lives.

DSPs don’t just support people with their daily routines—they build trust, nurture confidence and open the door to new possibilities. Whether it’s helping someone find their first job, explore a new hobby or simply feel seen and understood, DSPs are providing guidance.

As CPNRI celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, we’re reminded that our work only matters because of theirs. Their impact echoes through families, friendships and futures across Rhode Island.
