She Won Gold After a Collapsed Lung

For the first time, we are joined by a Paralympic gold medalist.

Leanne Smith is a five-time Paralympic champion who once stood at the very top of her sport.

Then everything changed.

A collapsed lung brought her life to a full stop. Leanne had to relearn how to eat, speak and swallow. At the time, it was unclear if she would swim again.

In an exclusive story with CPNRI, Leanne shares how her greatest struggle became her greatest comeback.

A huge thank-you to the James L. Maher Center for helping make this conversation possible. And Leanne, thank you for trusting us with your story. 💚

This is one you won’t forget.
